Jerusalem Sage: “Edward Bowles”

Even though this is already done blooming, as I forgot to post this earlier in spring when it was at it's yellow glory, I thought I'd share this now. The Jerusalem Sage is one of our favorite harbingers of spring! I've read that after deadheading it's supposed to get more flowers in summer, but two years in a row now that just has not happened. Maybe it's not enough full sun, but either way even post-flowering it's a beaut.

FYI - it's not a sage, and actually more closely related to Mint, of all things. Native to the Middle East, it is a good hardy perennial in our zone 8B and has not had any issues with spreading as some have reported...plus like I said it's just lovely!!
