Ever since I had my first daphne at my first home, I can’t help but plant one wherever I live…preferably right where one walks by, preferably by the front door or on the way to it. When we moved to the valley, this one was calling out my name…and for good reason. She survived the winter cold like a champ, and even though she’s only a couple feet tall now, her blooms are just intoxicating when you get close. Yes, they’re a bit more of an investment than others this size, but boy are they tough and so rewarding come spring - and fall when this one re-blooms!
