Yarrow! My husband got me really into this back at the farm where we grew them in a number of colors, but I've never seen one quite as striking as this "Rosa Maria" variety I picked up at the local nursery as the final plantings of the spring in our backyard garden. Along with their brilliant color, they are VERY hardy - they do well in hot weather, are drought tolerant after the first year, and survive pretty darn cold winters (down to 0 degrees F). Furthermore? The ducks totally ignore them. Wahoo!
