Our rockery's bellflowers which were here when we moved in are just blooming and, well, wow. These bellflower trailing groundcovers are not much to look at when not in flower, and grow really, really quickly. Good for coverage, bad if you want a tame plant that is good for 'set it and forget it'. Not that it's high maintenance, but what I've learned in a very short time, at least on a rockery, is that in early spring this can sometimes end up looking like a VERY bad hair day following serious growth, and doesn't always go where you'd like it to...but never fear, just take some choppers and give it a haircut...ba da bing!
