My Planet: Buck Lake, Oregon

You know those places where you've only been a few times but it's been imprinted in you like a tattoo, the memory so strong of perfect little moments in time? That to me is Buck Lake, the lesser-known little sister of Timothy Lake, tucked away in the Mount Hood wilderness. This visit from our newlywed days to an alpine shallow lake that is warm and quiet and lacking the screaming children and overt civilization of most places humans like to visit on warm summers days? It's where I send myself in my mind whenever I need to breathe, and remember how utterly perfect certain areas manage to be in the midst of times that muddle our senses.
