My Front Yard Garden #2: Summer in the Country

When we moved to the farm, we had over 5 1/ 2 acres to explore! But I knew I still needed a front yard that was more than just grass. Over the years living in the country, I would smother large sections of grass over winter, then plant in spring until it became another colorful, happy mecca for birds and bees. In the country, deer aren't your friends in the garden. So the front garden is full of deer-resistant flowers, from foxglove to rosemary to lupine to mint and more. Worked like a charm!
