The 'Master Hot Sauce' recipe from Epicurious has become a staple in our house for close to a decade now. One large bottle like this lasts all year, and is beautiful no matter what chili peppers you use - but our favorites are serranos (after they've turned red, as you see here) mixed with some cayanne and habanero. Biggest lesson learned after this first photo was taken? Blend and strain it...outside!
