While these are definitely more hot pink than red, boy do lupines make me smile each morning when I go out to the backyard to let our ducks free range for the day. An explosion of color, these lovelies really do earn their keep in the garden. Back on the farm, they grew wild along our pasture's edge which I just loved, and I couldn't bear to not have them here in our new digs...
One tip: they attract aphids BIG time..so don't grow them near your roses!
