While proud of my outdoor green thumb, I had little confidence with houseplants. I got our first fiddle leaf fig when we remodeled our bathroom at the farm, and it's been a dream. It came with us as we downsized back to the city, and exploded in height ever since! Even in the dead of winter, its spot near a west-facing window has it growing year-round, with gorgeous buds. So I took the next step - pruning - using tips from Houseplant Authority (they're not kidding about the sap!). Whee!
