Heirloom Harvest: Italian Sweet Pepper - "Corno Di Toro"

A wee harvest, yes, but a strange summer weather pattern and bad soil, yes as well. So we celebrate the few of the Italian sweet peppers that came off the plant, in particular the Corno Di Toro, also known as the bull horn or Carmen, sweet pepper from Italy. My husband thin-sliced this one up and we inhale it, it was so good and crunchy and sweet...even while it's often known as an incredibly frying pepper. While this one was considerably smaller than its known for, with this crazy arse garden season bringing abundance in some crops I couldn't have predicted and the opposite in others (my poor serrano plants look like Charlie Brown xmas trees, a first in 15+ years of growing them!), it's still a win...and on the list for 2025.
