Dahlia: “Mary’s Jomanda"

Bonus dahlias!

This spring, my husband rescued a few unlabeled tubers from his store, having no idea if they were viable, and they BOTH came up beautifully! Lens identified it as a ball variety called "Mary's Jomanda" which was introduced in the UK in the hearly 2000s and is known as one of the better varieties for a cut dahlia. It's added a nice burst of color to our Fruit Forest as it just bloomed in late September after many of our flowers are finishing up, and is definitely a trip to look at up close!
