Cosmos: “Diablo"

I swear, when something orange pops up in the garden I automatically get happier. And when we lived on the farm, I grew orange cosmos and they did just that. Here in our garden in the Valley, I'm doing it again and yep, same results!

Cosmos are such a sure thing (including being totally drought tolerant) that I often overseed and then get frustrated when they shade smaller plants so - note to self - gotta remember to sow these in the background rather than foreground! But other than that, it's pure enjoyment...
