Hiding away in the back corner of our garden near the cherry tree is another one of our Columbines, one that while not as full or lush as the Remembrance or Western Columbines, it is tall and elegant and has the orangey yellows that definitely make you understand why it was named after the super duper 1970s cocktail I vividly remember making for my parents from their big ol' liquor cabinet as a kid (closest I ever got to chemistry y'all...I loved mixing cocktails and sometimes think in another life I was a bartender…!).
No such thing as too many columbines in the garden...and a perfect under story plant for a Fruit Forest!
