We are both obsessed with columbines, and this latest variety, Remembrance, is really not helping curb the addiction at all! She is over 2 1/2' tall as we speak and a perfect addition to our Fruit Forest understory that I've been cultivating - flowers that love the sun but do fine in part sun as well, and as a native, are happily thriving in our on-and-off spring weather. Plus the ducks and dog totally ignore them - a huge selling point (particularly since Charley has begun looking at camas, lilies and our new ornamental grasses as potential snacks...wtf!!).
So long, April - bring on the explosion of flowers!
