Azalea: "Nuccio’s Wild Moon”

Under the category of "OMG I think I killed it", our new azalea finally is starting to bloom! This is a late bloomer for sure and yes, it even said 'late spring/early summer' on it, but with browning leaves, buds back in April that never materialized, and simultaneously new green growth, I was confused AF to watch it...then my husband popped his head in and said "you gotta come see this!"

Only a few blooms so far but hey, I'll take it. This variety is one of the many evergreen Satsuki hybrid azaleas, likes moist soil and dappled shade, and is a low, spreading type so it'll only get to about 3' high which I don't mind one bit as it's in the perfect spot for all of that.

Big exhale...!
